looking for a scanner

hi all,

I'm looking for a used scanner (probably from CL) to scan in old photos. I currently have a Canon Pixma pro100 printer. Should I stick with a Canon scanner for a software handshake? or?

This item would be rarely used and I don't need to scan film.

'Pert near any flatbed will do. I used an ancient HP PSC 2110 to scan all my old family photos. I have since upgraded to an Epson WF-3640 and a Canon 9000F Mark II.
