Looking for some advice

What do you guys think? I was looking through some old photos, and I wasn't sure what I felt about this one. What do you think? C&C is appreciated

I like the concept, but I think it needed much greater DoF to really work.

What tirediron said ^^^^^. Too much of it is out of focus.

I like this, it's pretty cool, has good lighting and I like the shallow dof.

Thanks, maybe i'll retake it at a later date with some different apertures to see how it looks. I'll try to get a more consistent texture though I think this background would look too distracting if it was any more in focus.
