Hey ,

I am new to the site, but not to photography. I am looking for some feedback on my photo essays that I have done so far.

I am mainly interested in documentary style photojournalism and have been experimenting in photo essays lately. Check out the "pop pop essay" and the sarah palin pictures (the link is in the news section) .. i appreciate any feedback that can be given.

If this is not your style of photos, please say so before you start criticizing. .. If it is your style, then I welcome your opinion.

its a story told in photos.. research it in wikipedia...

No comments on the quality of the images, but do not care for the website at all. I find it complicated and difficult to navigate, and the font & colour choices are less than attractive. Additionally, given how inexpensive web-space & hosting is, why plaster the 'site with advertising?

I pretty much completely agree.

yea, i'm not a fan of the site... fonts are a touch to small, and i'm not a fan of the color scheme.. and I hate it when personal websites are plastered with ads... its one thing if they are the sponsors for your site, but judging by this one, I'd say its a personal site, that doesnt have sponsors..

Thanks forthe comments.. I was mainly looking for comments on the images.. but I appreciate the website feedback.

touche... however.. this is the photoforum right?

Its all good I appreciate any feedback. Thanks my friend

I like it a lot. Good photography and I found the site easy to use.
I hope you post some of your documentary pictures here also.
Success with the projects!

Yes but it is not the CC section. This section is reserved for "more advanced discussion of photography, such as exposure methods, lighting, and other techniques and controls".

I am not picking on you, but this is an issue that is pretty much rampant, and hopefully by reading this, people will take the time to be a little more conscientious. :)

yea, your thread title tells me you want to know what we think of your website, not your photos...

well.. i hope you read the message that I sent, do you read a book by simply looking at the title?

"I am looking for some feedback on my photo essays that I have done so far."

Nowhere in the first message did i ask about website feedback, only when people decided to give it did I say anything. Its all good, we are all photographers here.
