Looking Toward Winter

We've had our first frost and I'm out now cleaning up in the garden. Here's a photo of a branch from a redbud tree headed for the compost pile.

My Redbud loses leaves (deciduous) but not branches in winter. It is a wonderful tree, but it is a headache in winter and spring as it is over the koi pond.

This wasn't a natural branch loss -- this was from pruning.

My leaves have much more color/yellow in them when they fall.
