Very cool Ron, but the headstone seems a little lost due to the processing. Does it stand out more in the original?

You're shooting monochrome in-camera? :irked: Bad Ron!!! 20 lashes with a rusty cable-release!

;)

Do you have Lightroom or another application with a selective correction tool? If so, maybe a little extra contrast on just the headstone? I like the original image better than the processed version to be honest.

Sorry, I only shoot raw but all the series I shot @ the cemetery were converted to B&W & saved as such. I will see if I can find the original original.

Okay... we can be friends again! I took the liberty of doing a quick & dirty edit:

Edited to add: Oooh... that lost something in the compression, but you get the idea.

Very neat subject. Dead-center is somewhat unfortunate I think. Processing is a challenge, but very cool shot.

I like it a lot. But the leaves, trees, background, is all too "busy", the headstone kinda gets lost in the mess.

That is the point of the shot, the grave is lost in the mess of vegetation that has reclaimed the land.

But you cropped out the environment, now it only looks like the background is encroaching.

I agree with the Bunny that the central focus is a no no but my edit took the subject off centre.
