Macro Lenses Vs. Prime Lenses

I first got interested in photography as a kid growing up in the 40's, yes I said the 40's! Here it is in 2009 and I'm still learning new tricks. What an amazing hobby we're in to.

Canon already engineered the dust problem for us, its called Sensor Cleaning. Look for it in the Menu.

Ahh I have that in my 400D and I don't do reversed lens work and there is still dust which affixed to the sensor. Sure we can clean the sensor, but I don't want to do that any more than I have to.
Also in macro work sensor dust really shows up since often you have to use small apertures like f8-f13 range. At wider aperture the dust often does not show at all.

On top of that, the self sensor cleaning technology do not work too well. At least for my Canon.
