Making the best of it.

Wake up at 3:30 am and drive and hour and 20 minutes to get set up for the meteor shower and then sunrise at the wildlife refuge only to have cloudy skies. What do you do? You set up for some long exposures of the mountain range and the clouds. (Okay, so we knew it was a pretty good chance that it wouldn't be a good day to do that but it was all worth it.)

Thanks John. It was a good morning of exploring and getting a few images. We found some cool places that would be a great place to go for portraits if a senior wouldn't mind a little drive.

Goes to show that a good photographer can walk away with a nice shot even when conditions aren't what they expected.
