Me and the Tree

The milky way was nice and bright this evening at Crater Lake. I like to sit and just watch the stars. It's so much fun to be out there, away from everything, and just take it all in.

Majeed, this is really neat. It looks like you are trying to send a signal to some entity(?) out in space somewhere - earth to the mother ship... :mrgreen:

This is absolutely a stunning selfie! Very creative! What can I say? -- I am seldom dumbfounded by a shot, but this one, I can look and look and look and will not be bored by it...

What were your settings in this one?
I also went to your Flick'r site. The next photo to this one is also beautiful -- nicely done. I have never been fond of long exposure but that shot is also stunning to say the least..This and the next one with the waterfall are the best in the lot.

That's an amazing shot. The exposure is spot on and I'm loving the composition.

And I agree, being out in the dark alone watching the stars is amazingly fun and peaceful.

I think it's the rounded bend around the water. No matter where you're eyes go in the picture, you end up doing a circle around the frame!

First, thanks for noticing! This is a focus stack. One shot 30", f2.8, iso3200 focused for the sky and same settings focused on me.
