This is another view of Indian Hammocks Park. No announcement is ever posted on this "roofed" bulletin board. But I guess it serves as decoration. Sort of...

The B&W conversion works really well. This is a very pleasing landscape picture. It sparks my imagination.

Thank you, Bobbly. It was taken with a Rebel XTi (400D) with color parameter in monochrome. Talking about sparking your imagination. Check this other one taken at the same park. My granddaughter noted that it looked like the foot of a gigantic animal.

It looks like some massive bird's foot - like a killer budgerigar!! heheh.

I really like the Canon 350D's in built B&W. - it does look very similar to the 400D by your photo. Although it can get a bit too 'silvery' for me.

I agree about with the objection to the 'too silvery' effect. There's a bit too much blue for my taste in the first photo. I prefer sepia. Yet the other day I posted a sepia photo in the b&w forum and drew unfavorable criticism for having 'too much red.' I'm really more comfortable with real black and white film, like Ilford. But then again, I'm an older person.

You're very perceptive, Meysha. I actually checked after you made this comment and found that I had written 400D in second post, when I should have said 350D, which is the camera I used. I've both, so it's easy to get confused.

I absolutely loooooove Ilford Delta film. I use heaps of the 1600 film and I usually push it to 3200 to get lots of contrast.
I've found it's nicer to use than the Kodak Tmax film. Tmax tended to be just as contrasty as the Ilford - but it would also loose heaps of detail in the shadows.
