Memory Card question.

For your situation going on holidays that won't really matter Id say. Two cards that I have and have brought abroad are a Sandisk Ultra 8GB class 10 - 30mb/per sec, I don't know if thats read or write. another is a Sandisk Ultra Plus 16GB sdhc/class 10 - 40MB/s. Im sure other brands are as good.

Make sure whatever you get works with your camera anyway and these things are available in Europe to so you need not buy loads of them.

First, don't buy those cheap cards from an unknown brand. Most are rubbish.
A SDHC Class 10 card should do. Here you find SD cards that
work with the D90.

Don't buy a SDXC card, as it won't work.

Thank you for the information, I see San Disc can only go as high as 8GB, but Panasonic and Toshiba can go as big as 32GB. Any preference on which one I should lean towards vs staying away from?

The chart showed the tested cards by Nikon at the time. 32gb is the max size the D90 can handle.

Personally I use Sandisk. Just my preference.
