Doesn't surprise me. I have a few female photojournalist friends and they seem to get dismissed more often than male photojournalists, particularly by the older generation. There's kind of this "Sweety I'll get my shot and then you can play journalist afterward" attitude.

It's really weird.

I'm trying to remember some examples when I was discriminated on gender basis but I really can't right now (if we exclude family surrounding)... or I'm too f.cked up because I live in the country where I'm discriminated on multiple other bases so I excepted that as "normal". Not normal in sense that I think that's normal, but in a sense that I can't beat "them"
