Microscopic

Actually I am curious how you took these shots.
Just as important how to take them in a way that details are visible.

You probaly could use a macro lens. These things are usually kind large to fit under the microscope. We always used macroscopes when working with them.

One reason for missing details is that if you used a transmitted light microscope, your sample is too thick for it. This way you just take silhouettes. If so, due to its non microscopic size, traditional macro photography with a good illumination would be better.
 
Planaria aren't single-celled organisms.
Infact they aren't microscopic.
