Midnight Snow Selfie

Well we didn't get 20" of snow..but maybe half. It sure does look pretty out there though and the snow storm passed just before midnight so I decided to grab my camera and tripod and do some long exposures. I've never done long exposures in the winter before so I figured I'd give it a shot.

I had some really nice shots but coulden't tell if they were in focus until I checked them out in lightroom and was bummed that it was out of focus. It's pretty hard trying to focus on something when it's really dark out. I really should have brought my high powered flashlight with me outside to allow me find focus, but oh well. I was getting tired anyways from shoveling and plowing all day. Time for bed...

Anyways I nailed the focus in this shot and I decided to step into frame for some added interest....not that it adds any. I just wanted to try something different.
