Mini Tank

This is actually just using the "miniature" feature on my camera settings so I kinda cheated, but it got me into trying new things like tilt shift and freelensing. Either way, still one of my favorites.

What we should be looking at ?
Selective DoF ? Shot simulating picture of diorama ? Plus this is not a tank.
I am not a big fan of out of focus areas in the fore plan, but in an case nice colours.

Thanks for your feedback. In this case, its just a fun pic I took when I was playing with my camera settings. I know its not a tank, but given this is a photography forum I didn't feel the need to be specific. (6 years in Field Artillery)

Fun ? Yes, it is a fun photo. Did you try this method on some "busier" subjects ? When the limits of DoF might be better define ? It might make more engaging picture.

My thoughts exactly haha. Sometimes its better to speak in generalities.

The mini feature is a lot of fun! But thats really all its for, just fun. It does however beg you to go out and play around a lot and in some cases I ended up with some really great photos that I otherwise wouldn't have thought to get.

I think this worked out quite well, and while generally, I'm not a fan of defocused foregrounds, I think it's essential to the overal 'feel' of the image.

I've never taken any miniature photos, but it does look cool!

Fun shot!! Isn't it amazing how defocusing just a few regions of an image TOTALLY changes how your mind perceives it!
