Im pondering buying a minolta maxxum 70. Ive used digital cameras for the past few years and want a film camera to practice and just play around with. Nothing professional just a novice to take outdoor photos with. What's your opinion on this camera?

don't know that one in particular, but if you want to play around, why not going to a fully manual? I think you'd enjoy it better!

Hi I have a Minolta Maxxium 7 and I love it it is also fully manual or I can use it on fully automatic it is definatly a good camera to play around with. Have fun using it.

the maxxum 70 is a consumer based camera. It will successful take pictures, nothing more.

not a bad camera, but you could get more with a maxxum 5 or 7, or nikon n75, or canon rebel

Actually, when I was buying my 70, I chose it over the 7 because I felt it had more of a pro feel to it. It's also a newer model and was cheaper for me. Go try'em all out.

Now all Minoltas aside, go pick up a nice OM with Zuiko lens set. :p
