Admin, is it possible to create sub-forums within the Mirrorless Cameras forum? Reason: You have the DSLRs in their own separate areas. i.e. Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Sony.

You could have...

Mirrorless Cameras

- Fujifilm
- Olympus
- Panasonic
- Pentax/Ricoh
- Samsung
- Sony

etc.

This would be a lot better for mirrorless camera users, because they would not have to sift through all the postings that do not pertain to them. Thanks! :)

Olympus & Panasonic should be together as they share the same m4/3 format so it would be appropriate to have a m4/3 sub forum if that is going to happen. It would include other m4/3 makers such as the Chinese Kodak camera coming to market.

Good point regarding Micro 4/3, Ron. :)

I'd agree to the usefulness of splitting by lens mount if there were more posts to wade through, but so far there's only 4 pages in the mirrorless index. Surely that not enough to need subdivision.
The DSLR cameras/boards have been around for longer so most have quite a lot more posts in their individual category, with only Pentax having less than the combined mirrorless posts.

No doubt in time the DSLR brigade will discover the benefits of mirrorless and the time will come for subdivision.

Thread moved to Feedback and Suggestions subsection

Honestly I can't see us adding that many new subforums. It's a lot of subsections and whilst it does help break data up in a market that is going to grow in popularity; the current organisation format of the forums means it would make the gear section intolerably long. The galleries and anything lower would likely get lost.

I could certainly see a m4/3rds section being possible in the future - its a very popular format.
