So i got a call when i got off work from a friend saying he needed a photographer for our local casino "Pechanga" has their first MMA fight put on by "Lords of the Cage". I was ready to go in about 2 seconds haha. Nothing like press pass after the fight, gotta interview some fighters, free food and great hospitality.
I've never shot sports before but i love watching UFC etc, and heres my results. Im pretty happy with myself for not being a sports photographer.
I basically ripped up the ISO with a small aperture about 4 and my focus lock on my 70-200 VR lens was my best friend that night. I figured I should have gone to 2.8 and i think i kick myself for it. Shooting through the cage was a difficult task by itself, and flash was not an option.
whatcha think?
