Morning at Park Guell (Barcelona)

... Before the swarms of tourists arrive. Gaudi designed the front pavilions in the style of gingerbread houses!

I may have to only choose one of these shots for a project I'm doing. If so, which should I choose? I personally like the light in the second one in the foreground, but we don't see the entire building. The purpose of the shot is simply to showcase an example of Gaudi's work as representative of Barcelona's history.

I would choose the first one. It does a better job of showcasing Gaudi's work in the wider context of the the city laid out in front of the building and the view of the sea beyond that. Based on your description of the purpose of the project, it seems more fitting to actually see more of the city in the photograph.

Good point, the city is important to give environmental cues about where Park Guell is (way above the city) and was designed to be a sort of private estate for rich people ...
