Mosaic Canyon in Death Valley. I was with my best friend who recently graduated with a BS in geology so he told me all about these rocks. I still know nothing about these rocks.

Nice photo, I would love to visit Death Valley one day! I'm guessing most of your friends information went in one ear and out the other. I think geology is one of those fields where you must have a genuine love of it to not find it mind numbing to talk about.

Its one of those places that sounds boring on paper, but in person is wonderful.

I have a thread here somewhere called death valley if you want to look at those as well (or on my fickr, see Sig).

I tried to find interest in it when he was telling me, but let's be honest, they're wet rocks. I do the same to him with medical talk.
