.mov files

I've got a 4.3mb .mov file. Does anyone know of editors to chop it up slightly? There is a bit at the beginning I want to chop of. Perhaps even convert it to a smaller file type?
It's been a while since I've played with video files and I've never used mov's before so I'm lost here.

Adobe Premiere. also get the divx codec to compress it to an avi.

the movie maker program that comes w/windows doesn't support quicktime extensions.

I used Ulead media studio pro. I'm selling a copy on ebay for around $80.

Never mind. Quicktime Player does it. It's now a 1.5mb file.
