The Grackles here are always ready for more food. Glad Mrs. Cardinal is back. Muted but really lovely colors compared the the Gaudy males.

Beautiful shots! Mrs. Cardinal might not be flashy like the males, but that subtle coloring is seriously underrated; there’s something really elegant about it. Also, those Grackles always look like they’ve got something sneaky going on . Looks like your backyard is a busy little bird hangout!

Agree. Just like the Painted Bunting females are not as flashy, their subtle greens make them beautiful.

Nice set. I did not know that female cardinals were not the bright red as the males. Learn something new here everyday.
