Mt. Washington, White Mountains

Some more photos from our road trip to NH. Mt Washington and the 120 year old Mt Washington Resort. It was a very clear day so you can see the weather station on top of Mt Washington and the famous Cog Railroad tracks going up on the left of the mountain. You can ride it straight up to the top. The scary and treacherous Mt Washington Auto Road is on the other side out of sight should you want to terrify yourself by driving up there. Did this in my 20’s. Never again!

WHAT?! You know, I kind of wondered about that since it looked so eerily similar (been years since I've seen the movie) but I didn't bother to research it. That's great to know, thanks!

No not this time. Reservations are needed especially during fall foliage season plus it’s a 3-4 hour thing when you add in time at the summit. We didn’t have time for it this year but it’s on my list for next trip. I saw on Instagram that they got snow up there this week so that will mean wait until next year for the cog...
