So, I use a UV Haze filter, is that just for UV or is it a polarizing filter?

I found out you're not supposed to use polarizing at night time, didnt' know that.. but I'm unsure what the difference between them is. I thought I ordered a polarizing one, but got a Canon UV Haze instead..

A good UV filter and a cheapie are much different.

A good one will not add flare and will give better contrast.

Not necessary, but one I wouldn't go without now is my Hoya R72 infrared filter :heart:

Just carry around a polarizer and a regular UV filter all the time. They will come in handy and maybe save you a lot of money if all you have to replace is a filter and not a lens.

I'd just consider what can be done in post vs what needs to be done in camera and prioritize filters accordingly. A CPL, ND or IR filter can't be done in Photoshop (at least not that I've seen) so I would put those at the top of the list assuming you dig the affects.
