My 10 favorite images of 2014

It's been an amazing year, lots of great memories and trips out shooting photos with friends. I shared these on my FB page, but figured I'd share them here too. Some of them are images I'm particularly proud of, some are just from trips out that were memorable. The snowy owl was the first wildlife photo I took that really got me hooked on that type of photography, and one that I'm really excited about for 2015. Here's to another great year!

Every Milky Way photo is processed through Lightroom and Photoshop. I typically stack sky exposures of 30 seconds with multiple minute long foreground exposures for better depth of field and less noise. The panoramas I just stitch 30 second exposures, and pull out as much shadow detail as I can.
