I always seem to get fairly decent criticism for my pics, and I've decided to test whether its my photography or its the fact I have a fairly photogenic wife. So here is the test, no females to be seen. (And im not saying you're all perv's, Im meaning that sometimes certain people can make a shot 'work' even though its a bad shot).



This was actually the first shot I took after getting the hacked firmware for the Xti (400d) which meant I jumped from a maximum ISO1600 to ISO3000. So coupled with a 50mm 1.8 (shooting @1.8) I at last had a chance at the low light situations.

When taking photos of kids ita best to go down to their eye level. First one is sort of cute, maybe try b&w. 2nd one doesn't work for me.

Sorry, bad lighting - too harsh - badly utilized (blowing all the detail out of face), uninteresting composition.

Your wife may be more amenable to posing, kids don't give a crap.
