I wanted to do a series of shots exploring things that I hate or that make me crazy. I got a few good ones but I would like your opinions on these two. It is for an assignment where I must show motion and depth of field.

The second picture is very good, but I find the first one a bit under exposed. Maybe a different background to make the white pages pop more would help.

I agree the first one could be brighter, but I really like the movement of the pages. I'd like to see some more arrangements of this type of shot.

Yeah, I was trying to get a darker feel for both images but you are right, it makes the first one dull. I am going to try and play with a make shift snoot light on the book and see how that turns out, if that doesn't work then maybe I will move the props away from the back wall and use a dome light when there is less ambient light. That should separate the subjects, brighten it up and give it that "pop" while still keeping the brooding attitude I was aiming for.

Any other ideas or comments? Do you think the proposed set up will work?
