My daughter, my inspiration...

As I am getting to know you guys, I figured I would share what got me into photography in the first place, and no, it wasn't video.

I realized there wasn't really a DSLR video section on this site, or at least I couldn't find it, so I figured this would be the most appropriate place to post.

When my daughter was born, I wasn't getting the quality that I wanted out of my P&S so I bought a high end P&S. That didn't work. Got a DSLR with kit lens. That didn't work. Bought a 50mm 1.8. That didn't work. Bought a flash...ahh, a flash...the ability to control my lighting. I am now getting the results I was after, but it's been a long journey and I have learned a ton from books, forums like this, and some very helpful pros who took me under their wing.

In any case, my inspiration. I am not much of a video person. Actually, I kind of think it is a gimmick in a DSLR, but for this occasion, a photo wouldn't do it justice. Hope you enjoy.

Wow, mine is a handful. I couldn't even imagine 3 of them. I do have one on the way...here's hoping it's a boy. I don't know if I want to be in a house full of women. :gah:

Thanks Mishele...it seems like just yesterday we were picking her up at the hospital. It's hard to believe she has her own little personality now.
