She is smart to wear a mask like that. In softball they are so close to the batter.

Is the mask mandatory now days or is that her choice?

Thanks.. Masks are not required, but we require her to wear one when she's pitching. We've backed off when she's playing third. The older the girls get the harder they hit, and even though my daughter is a good fielder, we don't want to take any chances. I think things are going to change and they will require them for all infielders..

Great shot! Softball is probably my favorite sport to shoot. You are much closer than most other sports. No funky gym lighting. The girls are so expressive and have very photogenic tans.

Edit: my favorite softball pose is when the pitcher has the ball directly overhead and is in full stride. Another cool one, if you can get it, is on the field during warm ups directly behind the catcher.
