What's new

My favourite photo ever C&C

Quick edit:

main.php

I didn't know til I read the description it was a speaker. So maybe if the cone didn't hold as many of the dots so you could actually see the outline or texture of the speaker cone or something. But then you might not get as many dots in the air if you're starting with fewer in the first place, so that may not be as colorful.

Great shot! I could def see that winning a camera or lens manufacturer contest because of the festive color.

I knew it was a speaker immediately. Perhaps that's because I've been an amateur audiophile since I was 12 LOL. The wire bothered me because it pulled m eye to the right (and it's cheap wire).

I knew it was a speaker too. I don't like the edit. It's very orangey.

Rallysman, I've tried an edit without the wires before but I decided to leave them in there to emphasise the fact that it is a speaker and that it is hooked up to something. It's not cheap cable BTW, it's attached to the speaker from the DD factory and its 12awg cable.

Maybe it is just my screen, but the backround is so white/bright, that the white almost 'wraps' around some of the small beads, making them hard to show their colors. Also, some of the beads are blurry, so a faster lens speed.

The image is very cool though, I like it.

Yes, there appears to be some of what is commonly called "wrap" or "wrap around" on the beads up above the speaker, where the intense backlighting wraps around the edges of the little round orbs, and renders them strange shapes...I think the backlight is just a tad bit too hot.

I do like the convcept quite a bit, but honestly, I think thete are simply too many small orbs down on the speaker's surface...I think 75% fewer sprinkles would look better, so that we could literally see the speaker's surface.

Upon second visit, I'm asking why would those candy dots be in a speaker in the first place? Great visually, but it kind of reminds me of a popcorn popper and cooked kernals flying around - which would make more sense - not that the photo has to 'make sense.'
