My favourite Shot of Anna

Hi all ..

This photo was from my last
session with Anna and I really like this picture. I am planning to print it
really big and hang it in my home studio..

Is it Ok to print your
clients portraits? Do you think it will impress other clients when they come and
see it hanged?

Thank you for your input also any C&C is most
welcomed.

Really like it too, would of been better if her elbows were in the frame.

This is a great image from beginning to end.

Why wouldn't you print it, even if she's a client. If it goes outside your home office though, you need a Model Release!

Great image! My only niggle is the cropped elbows; other than that? Well captured. As for displaying it, the 'can you' aspect will depend on UAE law. Should you? If you can, yes!

Thank you. Yeah its a shame that they were cropped! but I still think it is the best expression of the set.

Thank you. It will stay in my home (actually I stay in a one bedroom appartment so I move things in my bedroom to make the studio

and planning to keep in the living room)

As mentioned earlier, the elbows it was unlucky.. I will ask her permission and check on the laws, my work is only for friends and friends of friends nothing official.

Did you have a hairlight behind her? I see the catchlight so I assume something was high and camera left, but i see a nice harsh shadow on the old camera that I can't make out?

Good portrait but I hate when cameras are used as props by people who are not using them. I dont really know why but it always bugs me.

The only thing I don't like her frames of the glasses cut through her eyes slightly...

If you look at her hair you can see from the sheen on the right side that there was a light behind her I believe.

Yes there was a light behind her on camera right causing this rim light on her and made shadows on the camera.

Simply we didn't have a real one and we wanted some more themes.. Thanks

Yeah.. I saw that too.. I will post another one later today with no elbows cropped and not cutting through the eyes, but the expression is more of happy.. would like to take the TPF's opinion on the other expression ..

All negative comments being taken into account, I still think it's an excellent photo. :thumbup:

In the UK it's not neccesary to get a model release (Do I Need to Obtain a Model Release?) but I usually ask my victims if they mind me using a particular photo on my website or elsewhere (if it's possible). No one has said "no" so far but then I don't publish photos that are less than complimentary.

I do agree about the elbows....I made the same mistake with this one...OOPS. But hey, learn from mistakes, right? I really like the energy and expression on her face....Love capturing expressions. View attachment 6531

I just came back from meeting Anna and she was really ammazed with the photos, I really felt great

I asked her if I can print the photo and she was like you can do whatever you want! She wants another print for herself so I will print two
