It looks like two..

Sorry - I am not seeing any photo in your post. Scrap that - photo just popped up! :D

Simple google search "dragonfly light blue black bands on wings"
Gives much information then hoping some other photographer in these forums may have specific information on type.

And was out myself yesterday in woods and hoping to capture Dragonfly's as find them interesting and one I hope to capture some day. I can easily see using up a 4gb card and a afternoon with nothing but dragonfly pics.

so when you get pics post them up............. and thanks.

Male common whitetail: wing pattern. Abdomen powdery white. you made it easy as pie... i could never describe him like this...

Yep no macro as have a Tamron 17-50 f2.8 and a 55-200vr as my only lenses. And think the 55-200vr is the only option of getting a tight shot and not spook them. And will have to find some water areas in my area to go and find them. As do find Dragonfly's fascinating to look at.

And good luck on finding more to post Photo Lady.

thanks i will do that..but yours is superior stuff.....

Cool grab PL , ah don't worry about the quality stuff it all comes in time. You just have to want to take the time to get the shot and know they can be tough to get. Right place right time with the right gear rest is up to you, know you will get a second chance.

Cool shot and thanks for sharing, shoot well, Joe

They remind me of the Army's Apache helicopters when in flight.
