A few shots from today. First time I found a green heron. Of course he was hiding in the shade and shooting a 500mm at 1/40th and 1/80th is no joy. As always feedback is welcome. Oh and can anyone ID the tern? I'm guessing it's a juvenile something, but the black patch around the eye and the black bill is throwing me..

Nice images. I like the Green heron (they are not that common and can be hard to find) and the second GBH shot the best. The Forster's tern is more likely an adult in non-breeding plumage as the juvenile usually has a larger black patch behind the eye and a shorter tail. Just a suggestion for your future postings - could you please number your images - this makes it a lot easier for a reviewer to refer to them, rather than having to flip back and forth to make sure they have the right one. Thanks.

Thanks Western, next time I will label them :)

Splendid work. I really like green herons.

Thanks Barbarian! I've come to the conclusion I like birds a whole lot more than people:heart:
