Illusion? Lens distortion? Am I just stupid?

The building seems to be leaning back simply because his camera was angled upwards a bit. The vertical lines near the center of the frame are good and vertical while those away from centre lean into the frame. Farther out from center - more of an inward lean. All lenses behave this way. Need PC lenses or a view camera to avoid it.

I really don't think it's straight...I dragged a bunch of guides in and even at the middle of the frame the verticals aren't vertical...I agree there's lens distortion, but I don't think it's level even before lens distortion took it's toll...

Straightened?
