My first newborn photo shoot C&C please

I'm just getting started in photography and this was my first newborn photo shoot. I know these aren't perfect but I was pretty pleased with these shots and edits considering it was my first newborn shoot. Looking for some feedback on what I should be doing differently or what is working, not working. Thanks!

What settings did you use for these? They are over exposed. White balance is off, and it seems like they are not in focus. Especially the last one. The first two are small photos so I can't really tell.

The first shot is the only one that works for me. The color and softness have a dreamy sort of effect that goes with the sleeping baby.

#2 Poor choice of color/background. It looks like the baby is sleeping on a weird looking shopping bag.

#3 Lacks professional quality. Looks like something taken on a camera phone and processed in Instagram.

This was definitely not a paid commission. This is my nieces baby and I asked to do some pictures for practice. The 3rd is definitely blurry and was actually an image I used in an example on another thread looking for insight on shooting sharper images. It is by far my least favorite of the 3 shots that I have edited thus far. I knew from the beginning that this image in particular would not turn out the way I had envisioned before actually taking the picture but it was the best shot I got because he was hungry and was fussing. I was more so practicing the editing techniques with it. The first is by far my favorite out of the 3 but I know it is far from perfect as well. Thanks for the feedback.
