What's new

My first pictures

Are you sure??? I coulda sworn that the second i pressed "Pay Now" when i bought my T1i i jumped in the air and yelled, "IM A PRO NOW!!".

To the OP, idk if i'd post pics of weed tbh. Haha. But regardless, i didnt know weed looked like that. Then again, ive never smoked it so...

yes, thats what good looking weed should look like.

and this thread makes me giggle.

Thats far from good looking cannabis.

Also what is wrong with postinga picture of marijuana on a public forum. Whoever said "illegal substance" is ignorant because this forum can be viewed anywhere including states/countries where medical marijuana is in fact legal.

To the OP, just keep taking pictures. Try the same pictures on Program setting or "P" or the "A" setting with the flash up. Use a peice of paper or mail to bounce off the ceiling. You'll notice the difference immediately.

Keep reading, learning and practicing!

I know plenty of people that have been paid to shoot weddings, etc that aren't pros :lmao:

Just check Craigslist on any given day...

Don't wanna sound like a ass but I never really said that these pictures are pro. Obv if I'm asking for feed on these pics it means I know there is faults in it. That's why I'm in the beginners section askin for help. What I meant is this is my first try at professional pictures. But can anyone give me a link tto how I adjust the shutter speed and Aperture things? Thanks

There you go you'r first try and pro pictures. These are no attempts at professional photos. Professionals get PAID for their work. Just ecause you picked up a D5000 (DSLR) doesn't mean you're a pro son.

Omg!!! Chill out!! What are you threatened or something?

The OP could have said "these are my first attempt at professional standard pictures" but not that "these are my first attempt at professional pictures" unless he really believed he could sell them.
It seemed pretty clear that he meant "professional standard" based on the surrounding questions and information, and you're blowing it all completely out of proportion for no reason at all except to show that you can be some kind of grammar nazi.

Is a person a professional from the moment they sell their first photo on, or is it only for that moment and that photo, then they're an amateur again?

Does it matter how much it sells for?

Suppose they could charge top dollar but they're independently wealthy and shoot for the love of it, while their work graces everything from magazine covers to major ad campaigns to art galleries and museums? Still call them amateur?

What's it all to you?

A voice of reason!! Thankyou!

what the @#% is that anyways?
I'm not a big into drugs, never done it, been around them, been around people who've done them, but I've never seen it in person still in this state?
Is that a bud or what? lol

I seriously thought it was one of those fools gold rocks... Lmao

"Suppose they could charge top dollar but they're independently wealthy and shoot for the love of it, while their work graces everything from magazine covers to major ad campaigns to art galleries and museums? Still call them amateur?"

Yes of course they'd be an Amateur if they weren't getting paid for. It doesn't matter how good your pics are, if you're not getting paid for them then you're an amateur.

An example, there are certain sports that aren't popular enough to warrant being paid to do it. Even the very best in the world at these sports are amateur. Its not a slight on their talent, its simply that they do not get paid to do it and probably have other jobs.

Saying someone is a professional photography implies one thing, that they are paid to takes photo's and that is how they make their living. They may be rubbish but if they are making a living from it then they are a professional.

A professional is some one who is considered a master of there craft. There are COUNTLESS professionals out there that do professional work and do not get paid.

There are professional doctors in Africa working for free, there are professional lawyers working for free for the ACLU, there are professional fire fighters that donate there time and work for free, ect. . . . . .

Your telling me there amatures?!?!?!?!?!

To be a professional in a field, it must be a profession of yours. It DOES NOT have to be a PAID profession.

Anywho, like so many others, including me, the OP's photos are not professional. Like wise, there not very good.

To the OP, one really has to learn alot to get great photos. I am trying to learn by reading up on it at the library and by spending time here.
