My first portrait

This i my girl friend and she let me experiment with her.
good bad or other criticism please.

Sepia tone on number 2 is actually too brown/orange. You've got some harsh shadows going on and photos are a bit under-exposed. I would try cropping differently. Composition wise- center is actually not as pleasing to the eye all of the time. The one with her back to the flowers is actually obtrusive. Flowers are pretty but you don't want them to be a focal point of a portrait; at least in this portrait. Try some fill light if shadows are harsh or if you are shooting with sun overhead...and/or try metering off her face to ensure good exposure for her face.
