My first post for cc

So here are a few pictures I took of my little puppy a while back. I definitely need some cc... For the record, she is running in pic number 3, not going to the bathroom

Hi, and welcome! I think you have started a project. None of these shots are going to be anything great, but now that you've begun the process:

Get a different venue. The grass is not going to be the best ground. Try different places, including hard floors, carpeting, etc. with some kind of uniform backdrop, such as a painted wall.

Try to catch the puppy in a more relaxed, even pensive moment (not going to be easy).

Try to get a shot of the eyes looking at the camera, if possible.

Use fill flash or bounced flash (if no speedlight then your built-in flash can be made to work by using a modifier).

If you can't get close without exciting the puppy, then crop much closer in post.

Plan on trying this many times until you get a few good shots.

i like the expression on the pup in the second... wish the grass wasn't there as its body is lost...with the tones of the background

Thank you for the advice! I have a lot more of her (in the grass, of course) where she is looking at the camera. I see what you are saying about the grass and her body being lost in it.

I love the expression in the first one. But I'd clone out the lowly human reflected in the eye.

I like three, maybe cropped tighter. I could even see that on the front of a puppy food bag.
That little guy is on the move.

Rick, you have NO idea how fast.... I think she was about 1.3 lbs here, and she could move.
