I never saw the photos, but its a pretty ****ed up world when you cant take a photo of your own kid and without having to worry about people thinking you are a pedo. I have 4 nephews and take heaps of pics of them swimming so I can give them to my sister, and all they have on are shorts. Does that make my photos offensive?? Lets show some common sense.

i didnt see the photos either, but im sure there is a pretty fine line between this being good shots and offensive, fact is its the world we live in thats causing the "walk on egg shells" approach to almost everything we do.

Intimating that someone is posting illegal (re: pornographic) photos of children? Yea, stupid them for getting so up tight. I would say, if your wife is hoovering over you, that perhaps she could read some of your posts as well before you send them. We might have a reduction in some of your more scandalous comments.

The better victory is to be the bigger person. No need to stoop. Fact is, this is going to happen again and again, and while Chris is well within his right to post some pretty explosive nonsense, validating it with the above comment isn't going to help. And indeed, stooping below his level is validating the comment. I'm not saying "move on. . ." because the comment was pretty cheap and small minded, but keep yourself ABOVE the nature of his comment.

This thread is going to get closed anyway - but seriously bro. Maybe this isn't the forum for you. This place is getting uglier and uglier and I hate to say, that you are a contributing factor to that. Whether it is because you just - I dunno - LACK a certain sense of tact or self-censure, or you're just rude for the sake of being rude - it doesn't help create an environment where starting photographers can come, get help and not be attacked by someone projecting PERSONAL mores on to them.

You've demonstrated more than once that you lack the ability to take advice, and you for damn sure lack the ability to give it in a constructive manner - so again, maybe this just isn't the right spot for you.

chrisburke: pics on here are normally for people looking for advice on how the pic looks and whether it was interesting, not if its morally wrong. If you find it offensive just dont look or personally go after someone

Then YOU need to change that. No it's not HIS problem, its obviously YOUR proble, as you just said. It's not other peoples bad that they react badly to someone being a jerk (whether they realize it or not). If you are incapable of having control over what you say, as I said either have your attentive wife proof your writing, or just go to another forum.
