Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
So I went out and bought my first good camera (Nex-5n) and went out with a friend to try it out for fun. I've always been interested in photography but have never actually gone out somewhere with the purpose of taking pictures. So this is all new to me. I feel like all my friends are just being friends and telling me what I want to hear lol. So, what do you think?

Thank you! I didn't think that would be an issue when I was cropping them.

Chopped appendages is a big no-no. Other than that, they aren't bad. Many could use some fill light on the models face though.

Post a couple photos directly to the thread, you will get more comments that way. :sexywink:
Oh, and don't forget to number them.

No, post the actual pictures (use the BBC code from flikr), not just links. And not so many. 12 is a lot to ask for C&C on.

How long have you been using Lightroom? Just since two days?

Yeah, pretty much. Since a week ago I played around with it a little bit but nothing serious.

These could use some brightening up...they look pretty dark. Your friend is really cute. She deserves to be photographed better! [wink]

Thanks! I'll keep that in mind and I'll tell her lol

You could use some fill light. In using LR, just increase the fill light a little and that will help these for sure. Not as good as fill flash, but still, it's a start.

I think #2 had potential of being a great shot, if you held a large sheet up or something to cut down on the light a bit so it wasn't quite so blown out and also would cut down on her squinting... a fill flash might have helped too... If you're shooting in an area like #3 try to keep an eye out for shadows or lights especially on the face, if you enjoy shooting pictures like this bring a small reflector with you, they're like $35 and have 4 different surfaces and a light diffuser thingy. I try my best not to use one but a shot like 3 it would've helped a lot.
