Terrible lighting so had to use a high iso but I also wanted a low apeture for a short depth of field (was taken at f1.8)
No fill flash, all ambient lighting (to be honest I wasn't looking for ambient lighting hitting her, just for her to strike a pose!)

I know no1 doesn't have enough light on her face but the pose is so cheeky and just mirrors her personality so well

Here's the final
and actually I sorta lied to the above question, I've found a good way (and this is me personally) is using on camera flash (due to its low power) then set the flash power as low as possible so it almost doesn't add any lighting, just brightens the eyes. Seems to work quite well when used in the right environment.
