Hey guys...

I know that each of us have an inspiration in our lives, someone that made or makes us want to get into photography.... That person for me happens to be one of my best friends...

She has an online gallery that I wanted to share with you guys. I love her and her work so much..... Hope you guys enjoy! Comment so I can show her what people think of her work...

P.S. Yes, the sexy young white male in her gallery is me. :-)

Tried to view her website. It was taking too long to load the gallery, so I closed the tab.

I've never understood the whole "inspired by person x" thing.

Heck, I don't even know the name of a single famous photographer (other than Ansel Adams, but you'd have to live under a rock to not know that one).

Be inspired by yourself, lest you wind up just emulating what someone else is doing.

Me either. I would say I admire other photographers but not inspired by them. The most famous photographer I know is local. Sam Potter

I didn't have anyone for "inspiration", I just like making things. Photography is just another vehicle of expression.

I mean....I guess inspired was a kind of strong word....I just love her style...and her outlook on her photography...she shoots what she wants....she has done and does paid work too but she (and I'm probably guessing a lot of photographers) won't shoot someone that they don't want to shoot or don't feel a "connection" with even if they pay...I like her style and I love her work...

It's possible to be inspired by someone's philosophy without seeing someone's work. If we see someone's work and infer their philosophy, then we say we are inspired by their work. But, perhaps we mean we are inspired by the inferred philosophy of the work. Or, we'd like to be as effective in expressing ourselves.

Pretty much what I mean lol!

Sorry got to shot 15 and got bored

My children are my inspiration. It is for them that I strive to be a better person and a better photographer. I strive to teach them essential life skills, love, morales and balance. I strive to capture their memorable moments via quality photography. Alas, there are days when I feel that I am failing at both... None-the-less, it is my children who inspire me.
