My new 5 &1 Reflector Panels Arrived!

Hey All,

I psyched. I ordered these reflector panel kit from Adorama.

I can tell already that an assistant will be 10 times faster & more fun than messing around with the stand, but I thought I'd better get the whole set up.

I've been watching as many online tutorials as I can find.

Any tips or advice are welcome.

One of the best uses for these 5-in-1 units is the diffusion panel (the base layer with the cover off. If you hold this up between your subject and a hard light source (like the sun), you can get very nice soft light.

And yes, these work best with a voice-activated light stand (assistant).

we sell that at ritz, and the stand sucks. if you're really going to use a stand, get a C-Stand and some sandbags.

There's seriously only about tree positions that thing can be in, otherwise it tips over. And that's without any breeze! If it's even SLIGHTLY breezy (our AC does it), it tips over.

You'll see when you get and you'll probably be a bit bummed.
