last night i posted a shoot of my 6 month old rottweiler and think i learned a few thing picture 1 is the shot i posted and 2 is after playing around in lightroom. i am new to this and this is my first atempt in light room. i have a lot to lurn both with my camera and post production.

All I know is that your edit looks A LOT better.

Agree, the edit is much better. For dark subjects like this, try using your camera in spot metering mode to determine the exposure.

Now turn the mode setting on your camera to Av and leave it there for the next 100 or so shots. Play with the ISO if you want but DO NOT go out of Av mode.
