What's new

My second senior photo shoot.........let me have it!

a custom white balance i think would help.. and if no flash a reflector (even a homemade one) would help fill in shadows..

#4 her chin is up to high. and #2 the way she is standing is not flattering for her body type because she is to straight on to the camera and her leg is touching her other one,.. they kind of run together.. to fix i would of maybe turn her 45 degrees and adjusted her leg.. i like #1 pose just needs fill flash and some pp work with levels and/or curves

First mistake was shooting in dappled light without being prepared.
Image 1: May have worked better if you had moved the subject into the shaded area. (you can see the solid shade area on the handrail).
Image 2: You moved her to the solid shaded section but did not light up the subject with a reflector.
Image 3: Moving the subject to open light is not good, brings the light from above and gives them the racoon eyes. (shadows under the eyes).
Image 4: You should have moved her closer to you in the shaded area of the rocks. Maybe the backlight hitting her just a little.
-another option would have been to sit her somehow in that corner of the wall behind her (that light is good) a simple reflector shining
onto the face would have worked.
Take your time and find the light that will work for you.

Shoot well and thanks for sharing, Joe

#1 has the best pose and framing but it is soft and the lighting isnt good.
