My Sister In Law - CC Plz

This is my sister in law and I have taken this shot with a flash through a white umbrella.. C&Cs are highly appriciated.

i see you were trying to incorporate the plants/flowers into the shot, but here they're more of a distraction. i think you can do away with them. other than that, there's nothing more to complain about... good lighting, good posture, etc..

I have to also say that the plants/flowers are distracting. I think that this would look splendid without those in the shot. Other than that it looks very natural.

I thought in this photo they were not so distracting, but it seems that sticking with simplicity is always best

Not so much for simplicity but they are the brightest parts of teh image and thus draw the eye.

Most "western" viewers dislike foreground out of focus items. Many "eastern" viewers appreciate out of focus foreground items. In this case, I do not mind the purple flowers at all, but the lightly-colored object at the very right edge of the frame is competing for attention with her, and it is winning !!! In this photo example, I think if the OOF foreground elements were more numerous,and more prevalent, it would actually work better.

True, even brothers got different tastes..

I agree that candle was not so proper especially that it is the lightest. Btw, it was not interntional as I was shooting from the kitchen through those decorations to the dining room and got that image

You should have gotten a little bit higher to avoid the Double Chin. Kind of distracting , beautiful lady but we have to make them look even better so they don't mind us grabbing a shot now and then.

She looks classic... and the bright patch behind her is a classic distraction too simply trim it out; what remains is awesome (double chin thing is a finer correction too )

You should have gotten a little bit higher to avoid the Double Chin. Kind of distracting , beautiful lady but we have to make them look even better so they don't mind us grabbing a shot now and then.
