What's new

My turn for the slaughter... CC

I gotta agree with Gary these really are a nice set for a noob! Kinda used to seeing the crap that comes with "I just got my first Dslr!!! Cc and be nice please". Keep shooting man! Can't wait to see what else you do :)

I'm a noob too, but I have to say that for a noob these have to be the most well exposed I've seen! usually that the biggest problem and these seem spot on! Nice job.

I agree with #3, the tilt is just too much, very cute though.
I love the last one. The distortion make it look like the ladder goes on for miles!

Seriously impressed!

Thanks Momo! I'm not going to lie, there's some post processing in there but I have even less time with Photoshop than I do with my DSLR, so there's no magic there. The lighting in the concert shot (photo #1) wasn't the best so I intentionally underexposed it a little (by using a faster shutter speed) to freeze the musicians' movement and then increased the exposure in ACR one stop to bring it back. The fire truck (photo #3) was shot with a Canon 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye that I rented. The colors of the sky came out so blue and it shot everything so sharp that I became a believer in "it's the glass, not the camera." Now I'm an L fanatic even though I only have one (a 24-105 f/4L that I got for $750 on Craig's List). It was a lot of money for me to spend being so new to all this but it really was worth it in my opinion. Now if only my wife thought that it was!
