N80 and water

Help my N80 fell in a bucket of water & Mr Clean what should I do now. Let it dry and hope for the best , send it in for repair or just chalk it up to lessons learned and start saving for a new camera :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry:

wow, bummer. so have you done the obvious: shake it off, remove lens, film, battery, and let it dry out a bit? do please keep us posted with the result. thanks. dean

Well I talked to a Nikon rep. and he said that I should get another one that there is just so much electronics in the camera and it would never be dependable enough to use. As for the speedlight it shorted out and is in the trash,the lens the rep said I have a 50/50 chance. live and learn

Used the N80 last night it worked, I still need to get the film developed I'm hopeful
