I'm not generally a big B&W fan, but even while I was shooting this one yesterday I knew I wanted to see how it would look. I'll post the color original after for comparison.

Much stronger in B&W and even exciting! Very nicely composed. If it were a negative of mine, I'd have a hard time not wanting to have a play with it on a silver-gelatin print. The colors on the road are washed out from the bright light, which makes the B&W version stronger. But if the colors were enhanced by toning or hand coloring, it could be just as strong.

Thanks for the comments and compliments. Interestingly enough, when I look at them both the B&W version seems to invoke the mood I felt while walking through it more than the color! I have several days before my next shoot so I may play around with some of my other stuff and see how they look.
