These are from about a month ago when I had just bought my nikon d40.

I quite like the first one, but would have cropped it down to get rid of the white/grey sky (it wouldn't detract from the main subject, IMO). The curve of the path, and that splash of red on the left, make for a really nice composition. I like the detail you got in the closeup of the yellow leaf too...you can even see the veins on the leaf through the water droplets.

what does IMO stand for?

the little droplets act like a magnifer.

I think number 2 has some potential, if you keep the texture of the mud in focus.
