This long grass was hanging over the pathway. Top too bright, distracting?
Someone asked on another thread about lenses good for landscape which got me thinking. I was going to take 28mm or the 50mm, but decided on the 85mm. I like this lens, 85mm 1.8, for portraits and like how it rendered this photo's background.

I think the background us subdued enough that the lighter places don't distract from the grass.

Thanks! I took a lot of ordinary shots that evening. The one I was trying to get was the cattails. Next trip I will try different angles.
